These terms are an agreement between you and Laila Group Pvt. Ltd., Kochi, Kerala, India, which runs NowAt — the NowAt app, NowAt Driver, NowAt Business and nowat.in (“NowAt”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using NowAt you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use NowAt.
1. What NowAt is
NowAt is a platform that connects you with independent restaurants, shops, drivers, hospitals and clinics, employers, and property agents and owners in your area, plus a local community feed. Those businesses and drivers provide the actual food, goods, rides, medical care, jobs and properties — and they are responsible for them. NowAt shows their listings, passes your orders and bookings to them, and helps with updates and support.
Prices, menus, fares, availability and estimated times come from the businesses or are estimates, and can change.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older to have an account.
- One account per person. Use your real name and your own mobile number — we confirm the number with a one-time code.
- Keep your sign-in details and codes private. NowAt will never ask you for a sign-in code, your password or your UPI PIN. You are responsible for what happens on your account; tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.
- Business, driver and hospital accounts need our approval before they can take orders, trips or bookings.
3. Food & grocery orders
| Order type | How you pay | Cancelling |
|---|---|---|
| Restaurant delivery & takeaway | By UPI, before the order is placed, straight to the restaurant’s own UPI ID. Restaurants without a UPI ID can’t take app orders. | You can cancel while the order is still “placed” (before the restaurant confirms it). If you already paid, the restaurant keeps 50% of the total as a cancellation charge and refunds the rest to you. |
| Grocery | Cash on delivery/collection, or UPI to the shop where the shop accepts it. | You can cancel while the order is still “placed”. |
- Your contract for the food or goods is with the restaurant or shop. Quality, allergens, quantities, packaging and refunds are their responsibility — but tell us if something goes wrong and we will help sort it out.
- Check your order and address before you pay. Offers and coupon codes apply only as shown and can’t be exchanged for cash.
- When you pay by UPI you tap “I paid” and may add the UPI reference; the restaurant confirms it. Don’t mark an order as paid unless you have paid.
4. Table bookings & dine-in
- Table bookings are free. You pay the restaurant after you eat — by cash or UPI, as the restaurant accepts.
- Please cancel in the app if you can’t come. Restaurants may mark repeated no-shows, and may give the table to someone else if you are very late.
- Dine-in ordering from your table opens after you tell the app you have arrived.
5. Rides, parcels & hire-a-driver
- You see a fare estimate before you book. Rides and parcels are paid in cash to the driver at drop-off; hire-a-driver is charged per hour for the hours booked, as shown in the app.
- You can cancel free of charge until the trip starts.
- Drivers are independent and must hold a valid licence and documents. Wear a seatbelt or helmet, and don’t ask a driver to break traffic laws.
- Parcels: don’t send anything illegal, dangerous, perishable without warning, or worth more than you can afford to lose. You must give a receiver who agreed to receive it. Drivers may refuse a parcel that looks unsafe.
6. Doctor (OP) bookings
- An OP booking reserves a token/time with a hospital or clinic. NowAt is not a medical provider and doesn’t give medical advice; the hospital is responsible for your care, fees and timings.
- Pay the consultation fee to the hospital as it asks. Cancel in the app if you won’t attend.
- In an emergency, don’t use NowAt — call 108 or 112.
7. Jobs & property
- Employers, agents and owners are responsible for their listings being real, lawful and accurate. NowAt checks accounts before they can post but cannot verify every listing.
- Never pay money to get a job or to “hold” a property you haven’t seen. Report anything suspicious to us.
8. Community rules
The feed is for real things happening near you. When you post, comment, check in, report or message:
- Be real. Issue reports and check-ins need a real photo taken at the place and your location. Don’t post fake, staged or old reports — people Confirm or Dispute reports, and your trust score shows how often you were right.
- Be decent. No harassment, threats, hate, bullying, sexual content, violence, or content that exploits children.
- Respect privacy. Don’t post other people’s phone numbers, addresses, ID documents or private photos, and don’t check in or tag someone without their agreement.
- Be lawful. Nothing illegal, nothing that infringes someone else’s copyright, no spam, scams or misleading ads, and don’t pretend to be someone else.
We may hold a post for review, remove it, or limit an account that breaks these rules. You can report posts and comments, and block people — blocking stops messages and group invites between you.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, videos and text you post. You give NowAt permission to store, show and share them inside NowAt as needed to run the service (for example in the feed, on place pages and in Reels, to the audience you chose). This permission ends when you delete the content or your account — except for copies kept for the time described in our Privacy Policy. Only post things you have the right to post.
10. Businesses & drivers on NowAt
If you use NowAt Business or NowAt Driver, you also agree to:
- Give true details about yourself and your business, and keep your menu, prices, opening hours, stock and availability up to date.
- Hold every licence, registration and permission your business or vehicle needs (for example FSSAI for food, a valid driving licence and vehicle papers), and follow the law, including tax and GST.
- Keep your UPI ID correct — customers pay it directly. Confirm payments honestly, and give the refunds these terms describe.
- Use customers’ details only to fulfil their order, trip or booking — never for anything else.
- Upload a valid identity document if you drive with NowAt. We may suspend you if documents are false or expire.
11. Things you must not do
- Break into, overload, copy or scrape NowAt, or use bots or automated tools on it.
- Create fake or multiple accounts, misuse sign-in codes, or abuse offers, coupons or cancellations.
- Use NowAt to commit fraud, or to pay or be paid for anything other than the order, trip or booking it is for.
12. Suspension & deleting your account
- We may warn, limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts people at risk, or is used for fraud. Where we can, we will tell you why.
- You can delete your account at any time: in the app (Profile → Account settings → Delete account) or at nowat.in/careers/delete-account.php. It disappears at once and is erased for good after 90 days. Finish or cancel any order, trip or booking first.
13. Our responsibility
- We work hard to keep NowAt running, safe and accurate, but it is provided “as is”: we can’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or that every listing is correct.
- The restaurants, shops, drivers, hospitals, employers and property listers on NowAt are independent and responsible for what they provide. To the extent the law allows, NowAt is not liable for their acts or omissions, or for indirect losses (such as lost profits or opportunities).
- Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Indian consumer law that can’t be limited.
14. Changes, law & disputes
- We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect; using NowAt after that means you accept the new terms.
- These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be handled by the courts at Kochi (Ernakulam), Kerala — but please talk to us first; most problems can be sorted out quickly.
